Dating Testimony

Life may be short, but in Ephesians 6 it talks about honoring your mother and father and that you should live long on earth. Honor the people that brought you into this beautiful world. In proverbs 6:20 it states “to keep your fathers commands and to not forsake your mothers teachings.” always listen to your father and mother and obey them. If this wasn’t an important objective of the lords god wouldn’t have made it a commandment. Also in proverbs 7:1 it states “my son, keep my words and store up my commands within you.” and also in Ephesians 6:1 “children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” probers 1:8 also states “listen my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mothers teaching.” once again this has been a huge objective of the lords.

If you get in a relationship with someone who doesn’t help you grow closer to god, then what kind of relationship is that? In 2 Corinthians 6:14 it states “Don’t become partners with those who reject god. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership, that’s war.” A relationship is finding someone God has given you, and for that person to not only love you, but also love God and strengthen your beliefs in Him, as you should do the same. Also in 2 corinthians it states “Is light best friends with dark? Does christ go Strolling with the Devil? Do trust and Mistrust hold hands?” Putting two opposites together is not what God had intended, yeah you might be able to help that person, but God wants someone who will also challenge you to your greatest extents, not just one way. Lastly in 2 Corinthians “who would think of setting up pagan idols in God’s holy temple? But that is exactly what we are each of us a temple in him God lives. God himself put it this way.” so by loving and trusting someone who doesn’t share the same love for God as you do is destroying the temple that God has made in you. God did this himself, because he trusts each and every single one of us to make the right decisions, but also expects us to sin, hence why he died on the cross.

Women are more than a piece of meat. Not only are they a creation from God they are themselves. God made women to recreate his own creations. A woman is a temple of gods. Do not look lustfully into a woman, for she has more going on. She has a heart that God granted her with. In job 31:1 it states “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl.” So why should we disobey gods rule and only use women for lust. In Matthew 5:28 it states “but I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” I am the first to say that I look at girls lustfully, but that’s not how I act upon. I get to know the girls, and know them inside and out. We should touch a woman’s mind and heart before we ever touch her body, and look at it. So next time you’re trying to get a woman fellas, remember God’s word and ask yourself, am I doing this of lust or to actually to get to know her?

They say in a relationship, if you can’t trust someone then you can’t be together. Well in your relationship with God, it’s the same. It clearly states in Psalm 37 to trust in the lord and do good, and feed on his faithfulness. If you delight yourself in the lord and he will give you what your heart desires. So if you believe and trust the Lord in the plan that he has for you, then he will give you what your heart desires. So relationships work both ways, remember that.

In 2 Timothy 2:22 it states “flee the desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the lord out of a pure heart.” As most of the youth today like to have sex at young ages, that’s what it being sought out in this passage. Flee the desires of youth he says. A four word that has so much strength. FLEE! That is a strong word that can keep you from doing what your mind wants, but what your heart doesn’t. Flee the desires of youth, it’s what we do. Our generation of youth has a huge percentage of teenage pregnancies. Now don’t get me wrong I’m not looking down on teenagers who have gotten pregnant, they need people to look up to them. Not pushy Christians to shove terrible words down their throat, but back to the point. Flee the desires, and pursue righteousness. Pursuing righteousness, faith, love, peace, along with those who call on the lord out of a pure heart means gathering yourself around people who share the same amount of love for the lord as you do or people who will make you a better Christian. In ecclesiastes 11:10 it states “so then, banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the troubles of your body, for youth and vigor are meaningless” god says banish anxiety from your heart and cast off troubles of your body, so don’t fall into anxiety and let your troubles get to the best of you. For what happens now in your youth is meaningless because you can change in a second.

In 1st Timothy it states “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” So what the lord is saying is to not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and purity. So in a word live an exemplary life for those who shall doubt you. In Titus 2:7 it states ” In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness.” this isn’t just a small matter only brought up in 1st Timothy it’s brought up many times in Titus. In Titus 2:15 “these, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.” this is not one small matter once again. Don’t be brought down because of your age, size or anything, because with the greatness and strength of god, you can achieve anything.

My God and Father, while I stray // Far from my home in life’s rough way // Oh teach me from my heart to say // “Thy will be done!”

Though dark my path and sad my lot // Let me be still and murmur not // Or breathe the prayer divinely taught // “Thy will be done!”

If thou should call me to resign // What most I prize never was mine // I only yield thee what was thine // “Thy will be done!”

If but my fainting heart be blessed // With the Holy Spirit for its guest // My God, to thee I leave the rest // “Thy will be done!”

Renew my will from day to day // Blend it with thine and take away // All now that makes it hard to say // “Thy will be done!”

Then when on earth I breathe no more // The prayer oft mixed with tears before // I’ll sing upon that joyful shore // “Thy will be done!”

material things aren’t what matter

“What matters is not your outer appearance- the styling of your hair, the jewelry you wear, the cut of your clothes- but your inner disposition” 1st Peter 3: 4. It’s crazy how people think what they have in life will matter after their death. in 1st peter it states “When Jesus wraps this all up, it’s your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.” so when we go into the wonderful sighting of Heaven, our material things won’t be there on a shelf to symbolize his victory, our faith will. our faith is what will gain us admission and entrance to the gates of heaven, our faith is key to those gates in which we can only open ourselves if we want to live our lives of eternity with God, and Jesus. in Matthew 16: 13-19 Peter admits that Jesus is the messiah, the son of the living god. and god replies, “i will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” once Peter’s faith was out in the open and Jesus, Messiah, was told what he already knew what was to be said, gave Peter admittance and the keys to the “kingdom of heaven.” as a christian living their life for god, this is what we work for our whole life, trying to spread his word so that everyone on earth has heard his name. Peter was blessed everything that we strive for, just by easily identifying who Jesus was! Heaven is our number one home, earth isn’t our home, we’re only here to share the word for which God has left us! In 1st Peter 2: 13 it states “Friends, this world is not your home, so don’t make yourselves cozy in it. don’t indulge your ego at the expense of your soul.” there is a reason why we are all here, and that obligation was issued as soon as Jesus called off the angels from coming down from Heaven to save him from the crucifixion. that obligation was to live your life purely and purposely for god, the messiah, Jesus. so once again don’t get cozy in this world, we all die, but whether we live an eternal life by being an angel for God, or burning with flames to the devil, God still gave us what we needed to worship him. get away from your old friends, they won’t understand why you’re not in the crew anymore, but you’ll be doing yourself a favor. thus gives you the time to meditate and talk to God, and also listen to God! Listen to what he has to say, and do what is told to you and take nothing for granted, for God is coming back soon. “God waited patiently all the days that Noah built his ship, only a few were saved then, eight to be exact- saved from the water by the water.” When he has plans to come back only the ones who showed faith throughout their life stay alive. He will wait for you to prepare, but if you don’t show your faith for him through your life, you might as well count yourselves already dead. Don’t waste your life on stupid mistakes, and regret anything, because you can never have that day back to worship God, and it could also be your last. Worship God at all times, when you’re in class, when you’re walking, when you’re driving, when you’re in meditation, when you’re in prayer, through hardships, through the easy times, and also through down time. he deserves our worship and prayer all through the day. a quote to finish this testimony, “Everything in the world is about to be wrapped up, so take nothing for granted. Stay wide-awake in prayer. Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. love makes up for practically anything. Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless- cheerfully. Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. that way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and He’ll get all the credit as the one mighty in everything- encores to the end of time. Oh, Yes!” 1 peter 4: 7-11
